Fyi, the catalogs are free, and xbox live doesn't require gold to download them. Everyone's free to spend as they please, but I'm more about giving TN the money than, MS, lol.

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools

Incredible work mario, can't wait to work with that stuff later.

@lsc, Nyotengu's stuff is fine, it's a different container. The stuff extracted from the actual nurse DLC is not working. Could you testing those plz? Thanks!

New DLC up tomorrow so, early warning for archivarius update, lol.

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools

@lsc, MisterNatal : I forgot to mention it's the Nurse alt textures only that don't seem to open correctly in the extractor, even after I used miku's updated file to dump them from archivarius. @MisterNatal, you can de-triangulate in Blender with Ctrl J (or T?) I think if you're working on porting. ...

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools

@kasaka, the Nyotengu defaults are in the patch.bin file. @lsc, so what's missing with lisa's geometry if it isn't suitable for modifying? So did you manually null out the P4 top, or is it one of the anomalies that actually has more than one body mesh? @b0ny, miku or whoever can help. Is there a new...

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools

@mario, nice work so far. I didn't realize you were delving into the previous stuff that much. I'd love to have access to DOAX2 stuff for extra textures and meshes. I know it's possible, or at least was at some point. Is your current objective more utility related, or is this research to expand on D...

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools

@mario, did you do any work on extracting from DOAX2? I got stalled on that earlier since there's been limited knowledge on it.
What unknowns are you stuck on as far as the modification part?

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools

That's actually what you want. Think of the .blp was the container a list of file sizes and the content_data.lnk as the container for individual stuff. Those will need to be edited. The means of doing that is explained in mario's video. If you can extract a costume from the .lnk and put it back into...

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools

I use Horizon still which has worked for everything so far. *** I've established that the mesh append method is highly unreliable. I had a 3rd model take a hit. Worked fine on the Select & 2nd Player, but choked the first player load. It has to be some file size or vertex cap since either mesh w...

Mid size, Towel one matches Hitomi other than the legs being shorter for the 'sandal' things.

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools

@miku, thanks, I'll have to take a look at the .dat file and get back to you. Thanks for posting the updated one for Nyotengu @all, What is the objective with skeletal information? My guess was that animation data and stuff was contained in the bin or MPM files. Does the GlblMtx affect initial bone ...

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools

@mario, welcome back, thought you were completely off the DOA grid, lol. It is also possible to inject meshes from one costume into another or even append. Results can vary, but the process is fairly systematic at this point. @miku, thanks for the explanation. I'll still have to process what you're ...

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools

@miku, Thanks for the update!! :D Question, are you able to extract DLC_014 Alternate textures correctly?? @lsc, Color me slow for a sec.... 1) The adjustments to the .dat file can be done in notepad too, right? I'm not seeing anything mission critical, unless I'm missing something. 2) I understand ...

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools

New stuff is out, I've found the primary containers, but still don't know how to isolate the alternate texture stuff. Miku, any chance you're working on that or want to explain how? ;) *** Narrowing down append method weirdness. Definitely is not the costume slot since uncompressed files work fine w...

Yeah, thought I sent you 'body shop' on the more recent one. Radically different ;) Basically the TMCL consists of Texture Data Vertex Layer Data Index Layer Data b0ny's stuff handles TTX We need to modify Vertex & Index Stuff in the TMCL, The primary values can be found in the LHeader of the TM...

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools

@game, yeah not sure about the older titles here either. I only know stuff about DOA5 @ros, yes bodies do use similar UV's but in the case of MR, her holes were originally bridged with a different piece which had different UV's. We still don't have a full injection tut yet, but we can handle specifi...
