Re: Star Wars - The Old Republic - Beta

And here's another nearly 6,000 new file names! It is getting increasingly difficult to get the remaining file names but slowly and steadily I am getting to 100%! :) Right now, the rate of named files is at 91.14%, with 34,186 file names missing. Most of the missing file names (some 28k files) are a...

Re: SWTOR and 3d ripper!

I posted a tutorial for EasyMYP here ; maybe it helps you with extracting files. You're right, it's definitely easier to rip a whole character than trying to piece 10 .gr2 files for each body part together. But I do plan to find out how to join them together automatically. That papercraft program lo...

Re: Star Wars - The Old Republic - Beta

Since it seems to me that many do not know how to use easyMYP to extract files from the .tor archives, I decided to write a guide for it. :) Extracting .tor archives with easyMYP 1. Download EasyMYP 3.6 here and extract the archive. 2. Get the file name hashes: --- 2a. If you have the beta files of ...

Re: SWTOR and 3d ripper!

then the gr2 files can't be converted yet since new tool development has seemingly come to a halt. :( Don't worry, now that Torhead has 3D models of the weapons, I am very anxious to get the models as well! :) I already have most of the .gr2 format analyzed and am only missing the texture coordinat...

Re: SWTOR Darth Thanaton Texture Files

Is there no better version of this tattoo? Or is this the only size available? That's the original file from the game archives, so the tattoo cannot get any better in quality. In the next patch (1.2), they want to increase the texture quality but I am not sure if this will include the tattoo as wel...

And this is the tattoo for female Sith Warriors:
file name: /resources/art/dynamic/player_character/face_customization/tattoos/tattoo_human_non_sw12_f.dds
contained in: swtor_main_art_dynamic_head_1.tor

Re: SWTOR Darth Thanaton Texture Files

I may be wrong, but I believe this is the texture for Darth Thanaton's tattoo, at least it matches up to the screenshot at Wookieepedia . File name: /resources/art/dynamic/player_character/face_customization/tattoos/tattoo_human_non_sw02_u.dds (from swtor_main_art_dynamic_head_1.tor ) Based on the f...

Re: Star Wars - The Old Republic Beta Audio Files

Most of those file names were taken from the time when the archives still included the file names. The new file names that were added since then I mostly find out by guessing them or by checking other files that reference the file names. It really is a very arduous process to get the remaining file ...

Re: Star Wars - The Old Republic Beta Audio Files

There are too many audio files to upload them all, but here's a list of the .tor archives containing audio files. (assuming you are using the current release version of the client files) I'm recommending using the 90% hashes_filename.txt list for easyMYP I posted here as this has most of the file na...

Re: Star Wars - The Old Republic - Beta - GR2 model

It seems like the person behind knotor.com has found a way to view the .gr2 model files with their textures (see his blog post here ). Right now I am focussing on reading the client.gom file for the game mechanics but I am really curious to get the models as well. http://knotor.com/img/articl...

Re: Star Wars - The Old Republic - Beta

the way i process the new gom is to load up the old and new version, and when i load up the old version i cache the field ids -> name, so i can have nice field names with the new gom That's a good idea! I have not yet tested if the old and new ids match up but if you say they do, then loading an ol...

Re: Star Wars - The Old Republic - Beta

The gom still references to the STB files for game data. So you'll find the titles and descriptions there now. Well, names/descriptions of items or quests are of course still in the game, but the client.gom previously contained names such as "run speed", "quest trigger", "icon path", and all these ...

Re: Star Wars - The Old Republic - Beta

Bad news, unfortunately. :( It looks like all the names and descriptions were removed from the client.gom file (except for ~150 nodes) which will make it considerably harder to datamine the buckets/prototype nodes because one no longer knows what all these values stand for. So anyone who was using t...

Re: Star Wars - The Old Republic - Beta

Does anyone has access to the development tools of the Hero Engine? SWTOR is built with it, and i guess with these tools it would be easy to get more information about several file structures and their content. I'm very interested in the gom files: http://wiki.heroengine.com/wiki/GOM SWTOR also com...
