Re: Señor Casaroja's Noesis

Noesis has a function to encode a float in 2 bytes as a half-float, yeah. It's noesis.encodeFloat16. (or Math_EncodeFloat16 for native plugins) This encodes the float according to the IEEE 754 binary16 standard. So your saying I can decode the need info without the code I posted? I can take x07 x7f...

Re: Señor Casaroja's Noesis

My bad chrrox, I stated that I need to change a signed int to a float 16 That is not the actual case. I needed to change 4 bytes to a float 16 (Half Float) Here's the Python code to do what I needed. import struct def HalfToFloat(h): s = int((h >> 15) & 0x00000001) # sign e = int((h >> 10) & 0x00000...

Re: Star Wars - The Old Republic - Beta - GR2 model

take your time ... it look great !! This is a quick Script for SweetScape's 010 Hex Editor. It will search all files in a folder and all subfolders for the GAWB used in the new SWTOR GR2 files and list them. *EDIT------ --- Added a command to save the OutPut to a text file. --- Edited to better wor...

Re: Señor Casaroja's Noesis

I understand that but that is not the case here.
Divideing the signed short in the SWTOR 3D meshes does not work to get the correct output.

Re: Señor Casaroja's Noesis

Reading through the information in the plugins folder I see Half Float but it's not what I need as I'm understanding it. I need to convert a signed short to a Float 16 or half float as it's also called. I do have the Python code to do this. Am I understanding this Half Float correctly in Noesis Pyth...

I should have put a ? mark after the 1Ah
It seems to hold true on the ones I cross compared but I did not check all the files.
What file has the 0 at 1ah?

Re: Star Wars - The Old Republic - Beta - GR2 model

@Privateer:im also looking into these files, have you looked to see if maybe the UVs are done as uint32s that are divided by a constant value? ive seen other games do that alot I've been running different things to try to find the 'magic' mixture but have not found it yet. I have a few thoughts to ...

Re: Star Wars - The Old Republic - Beta - GR2 model

The files are pretty easy to work except for the texcoords and what I think are the normals.
Those are encrypted somehow that I'm still trying to figure out.
It's not in the Granny2.dll (Which is a custom build for SWTOR)

Great program by the way!

Very good tutorial Mate, Thank You.
I've used this as the base to do the SWTOR exporter instead of codeing a stand alone program.
