Re: We need your donations. Campaign 2011

Thank you Mate.
I know it may seem a trivial thing to some people.
I however prefer to earn a star and such outside of any donations I may submit.
As I don't get paid for what I do for fun, earning things is what I consider my pay.

Re: Star Wars - The Old Republic - Beta - GR2 model

hey so im still working on getting my extractor done, but i can post that Privateer helped me figure out the tex coords, and if you use C#, the XNA class HalfSingle handles them just fine. The main thing im working on now is that some models have different lengths for the vertex block, some are 32 ...

Re: Forza Motorsport Resource Extraction (.carbin)

Yeah I know they use granny as there are references to it in the executable. I can't remember if it was included as a standalone library or linked with the game though. I also don't know anything about the format itself to tell you whether or not that's what was used to store their car and track mo...

Re: Star Wars - The Old Republic - Beta - GR2 model

Good spotting Mate! Error corrected in the second script. Even with that error it only catches and removes the first line 010 adds to the output txt file. That's why it slipped by me when I was cutting and pasteing things. 1st script edited to print names of files with the occurrence found ONLY at t...

Re: Star Wars - The Old Republic - Beta - GR2 model

Here's the renameing script for 010. Feel free to edit it as you wish as it can be used to rename other file types if you also edit the script I posted above. I suggest you recopy the above script as I did edit it to work better with this script. Merry Christmas all! //------------------------------...

Re: help with scource code compile

It looks as if any good program should handle it if the proper support files are installed.
I use 2 programs myself.
VS 2008 for C++ and Code Blocks set up to use the GNU GCC Compiler for straight C.

Re: Forza Motorsport Resource Extraction (.carbin)

I've went through this thread from page 1 and up.
I'm very interested in the file format as I see a relationship to other Games I do work with.
Did the early versions have granny2.dll or anything like that?

Re: Files not appearing in explorer

I've also wondered if it's the power settings on things?
Several of the HD's on this system are set to power down when I'm not accessing them.
So if I save to or try to open a file on them? I get a delay.
It's a PITA at times, but I can suffer that for a longer life on them. (I Hope!)

Re: We need your donations. Campaign 2011

I'll be glad to donate more when I can. I'm just wondering what the VIP and Stars are for? I didn't expect anything for my small donation. I just felt since I'm learning so much here, I needed to donate something. Could I just be put back to the standard stuff? I don't feel I earned anything like a ...

Re: The First Templar (*.bin files)

@MichaelDarkAngel,
This thread is what brought me to Xentax.
I did extract a few files and took a quick look at them but other projects never gave me the time to follow up.
I'd be interested in any knowledge you may have as I go back to looking at the files again here soon.
Thanks!

Re: Star Wars - The Old Republic - Beta

If you have some experience with computer programming, you can write yourself a tool that will rename the file extensions based on the file headers from my file format list. Other than that, I cannot help you at the moment. :( I posted a 010 script that could be used to maybe find all the different...

Re: Files not appearing in explorer

I get this now and then with Win7, Vista, and Win XP.
(To many systems running on My Network)
I think it may have something to do with the indexing or something.
I've never found a real solution except to reboot.
I use AVG Free so I doubt it's Avast.

Re: Star Wars - The Old Republic - Beta - GR2 model

Will this script work with the old GR2 beta files as well? It would be awesome if you could write something to identify and rename those deadbeef text files. Thanks for your efforts. Just change the GAWB to )ÞlÀ and it should do the job. I'll get a script out that will read the output list and do t...

Thank You MrAdults,
That's what I was looking for and I admit I didn't understand the definition when I first looked at it.
I feel like an idiot but I learned a few things along the way.
