Hey Guys; it has been a while, question though, I just downloaded the latest patch for Diablo III bèta, and tried to convert the textures again... and only 20% of the lot has been able to convert to dds :( That Sucks any idea how I (or anyone) could/would update the texture convertor... please.. T.

Yes you can. The xwm in the title narrows it down somewhat, but that is not a problem so you go.


Btw. how did you open the bsa files? They don't seem to be the same bsa files as Morrowind

I believe you are right, the .gobj is a 3D object, I am looking into the anastasya.gobj file, which contains already on first site some interesting data such as textures, bones,standard animation

Just need to figure out the rest :/

Anyway, as said before, the normals are not exported apperantly, and therefor in 3D Max it works just fine, since after the import, MAX does a recalc of the normals

Well, if you use a decent 3D modeling program like 3DStudio in stead of some freeware :P

then it builds the normals automatically :D

When you convert them to png ? are they rotated by 360° , I ask this because some formats of dds have the nasty habit of being internally rotated up side down. :/

I downloaded the last tool, and yes you just drop the files onto it (well that is what I did)
it only worked for 1 file, data_03.orc, the rest crashed....

And the data 03 did not have anything interesting about 3D models, it did have the UI in flash file format though

Anyone any ideas?

Thnx,

the code actually looks even nicer, because that code has been taken using Reflector.NET

the only problem is that I don't know how to easily display 3D models using C# :/

Any suggestions?
