Re: Clear and understandable format spec writing

I love reading specifications. Html5, c, c+ +, ecmascript, opengl, sql, certain rfcs... Fun shit. By far the most ugly and most difficult I've read is the sql spec. It is flat out nasty. Every paragraph is filled with two and three letter abbreviations. By far the easiest one to read is html and css...

Re: Señor Casaroja's Noesis

if i recall right there is an algorithm for it where you check the bits and determine if you need to read another character or not. read it a character at a time. if it's greater than 0x7F, read the next character too and then append a crap ascii character to your string like 'x' or something. you s...

Amen. $299 is just too much. Yeah supposedly there is. If I am going to brick a vita it better only cost $199 lol.

Ps vita

Anyone try it yet? Supposedly there are tools to transfer files and a decrypter but I don't have a vita or game to test. Anyone try the tools yet? If they work I'll probably reserve one since the us release is on the 22nd. If not I think I'll wait till it comes down to $199. I mean gee a ps3 is only...

Re: Onechanbara Z Kagura [still WIP]

Yes. A little easier. There are cat files that i decompress to pk1 files. There are can files that I decompress to pk2 files. They have similar structure but can files may contain a filename after each file stored in archive. Otherwise cat and can are same. Model formats are different; the previous ...

Re: Xbox 360 XD3 ISO format

Translate c+ + to another language you know like python. Same thing. All programming languages are limited by what we can do with slr and lalr grammars. Same shit just different syntax. Don't let it stop you just because it is written in another language!

Re: Dropbox is great

I actually keep all my code on google code. Works great so far. You don't have to have a published project to keep your account so it's worked great for me. No matter where I am as long as I have a computer with svn I can work on my code.

Re: Onechanbara Z Kagura [still WIP]

OK, look at pl00_00_opt_00. It is a small model with only a few joints. Here is model format break down: 0x0000 - 0x0027 file header 0x0028 - 0x009F file information (offsets, sizes, etc.) 0x00A0 - 0x00DF material information 0x00E0 - 0x00EF material-triangle group association (used for automatic te...

Onechanbara Z Kagura [still WIP]

Format is OpenCollada DAE; use 3DStudio MAX to open. Includes geometry, UV, and skeleton. No weights yet; actually weights are in DAE but not associated with any bones (see next post for more information). When I find bone-weight association I will update program. But in the meantime you can play wi...

Re: How do i extract the files from onechanbara kagura

Yes, but how they are scaled is weird. Looking at it I thought ok, there are 4 weights, all after the 0xFFFFFFFF. They should sum up to some maximum value. They aren't floats. They aren't half-floats either. It uses some kind of integer format. Using unsigned shorts, the sum of weights should sum up...
