Re: Resident Evil 2 Remake - demo PAK file

You can make small changes to SGM to make it work with RE2. There are couple changes in file header, and buffers header. Vertex buffers are structured differently than RE7, so need to investigate what types there are. At least the skeleton and mesh info are identical to RE7, so SGM does some of the ...

Zanki Zero: Last Beginning (.lgx) - Noesis Script

I wanted to practice Noesis scripting a bit, and this looked like a good format. Supports meshes, skeleton/weights, materials/textures. Noesis crashes sometimes when loading models, seems to be because of some GXT textures. Try loading the model again few times, if it still doesn't work disable text...

I actually made a tool for extracting the textures, but forgot to post it. I am on holiday atm, I will post it after I get back. Like in a week or so.

For which game? I am guessing you mean Summon Night/Digimon. Those games use standard GXT format if I remember correctly. You should be able to load them with Noesis.

Re: How do normals work?

I am not really proficient in Python/Noesis but these lines probably insert the whole normal/uv array as a single object.

Code: Select all

Meshes[FinalObjects].normals.append(normals)
Meshes[FinalObjects].uvs.append(uv)
Try

Code: Select all

Meshes[FinalObjects].setNormals(normals)
Meshes[FinalObjects].setUVs(uv)

Re: Lego DX11.GSC hex2obj

I might have the wrong offset/size for the uvs since they have some negative values and look weird. Still they seem to be around that offset.

You shouldn't need to do that. You must have a problem with Noesis export or Blender import.

Delete the "astcenc.exe" part, you just need to add the folder path. Also make sure the paths in your "PATH" variable are separated with ";".

Re: .ktx Disney Magic Kingdoms

Your samples use ASTC compression. PVRTexTool works fine, make sure you have properly set up "astcenc.exe" in your PATH variable.

Load the .tex files with Noesis, then export them to any format you want. This is mostly related to usage of Noesis so I won't go into detail. You can find lots of tutorials on how to use Noesis,

You have to use the Texture Finder Tool first. After that when you load the .mdl files in Noesis, they should be textured.

Re: Valkyrie Anatomia .txp

I haven't thought of crunch at all. I will check out the library to learn how I can use it. Thanks for the info. Edit : Looks like KTX format can also use crunch compression. So these might also be ETC/ETC2 with crunch. I have seen ETC textures in other Square games. The custom header doesn't make i...

Maybe your "texconv.exe" is blocked. Windows sometimes does that to the downloaded exe/dll files.

Valkyrie Anatomia .txp

I am looking at the textures from a mobile game called Valkyrie Anatomia, but I couldn't find the image format used. .txp textures all have the "GLTP" (0x5) tag near the beginning, followed by image width and height (2 bytes each). There is also the texture name at 0x30 . I don't know what...
