Nothing wrong with noesis, I just never parsed bones associated with each mesh.

Re: What about a Topic Solved button to mark research comple
Up to how Mouse wants the forums organized. For example, a topic about archives, in the archives forum, should only information about archive formats. If someone later extracts it and wants to get at audio, video, graphics, text, or models, they should probably open their own topic in the appropriat...

Re: Universal Century Gundam Online .DET
I've updated the script to load ver 1 and 2 models.
It can also load the map files also, though they also look kind of stupid...

Re: Universal Century Gundam Online .DET
k from the samples there, we can see that there are at least 4 versions of the det format. 1 and 2 are similar, as are 3 and 4. The first two I can actually get to the material section, so some textures and related data files to match material with texture would be nice. But I don't get it, I though...

Re: Universal Century Gundam Online .DET
Hardcoded start offset for now.

I don't know if you guys can just export the mesh and somehow construct your own det file out of it.
The admin probably can though.

I can parse out the general structure; it is almost like the ver3 and ver4 exception they don't have the XR's and stuff.
In fact the structures are pretty much the same.
Only thing it doesn't seem to have are those dumb SCRIPTDATA sections.

Re: Universal Century Gundam Online .DET
It is a different format but it is easier than the chunk-based ones.
Are these available in the setup file from UCGO p-server website?
Judging from the tags, it looks like this was an older version and they decided to build on it.

Re: New Rules, some questions
No you're basically suggesting "let us post samples, or no reverse engineering at all"
Copyright laws are clear; reverse engineering on the other hand are probably still in the grey zone.

Yes, so why are you complaining about the rules if you feel they are not strict enough?

Re: New Rules, some questions
That's still reference to copyright material. xentax --> link = banned xentax --> 3rd party --> link = banned As all things go, people will gravitate towards a particular community eventually if they know samples can be found there. Kind of like how filehosts are all disabling their file-sharing fun...

Re: Star Ocean 3 models?
Yes, you can extract the models if you follow their instructions, which they don't seem to have provided.
I personally never looked into how to extract models by copying hex code into a *word document* or whatever, but it gets you the faces.
