I really don't see the difference between asking people here (who might know how to open it) and asking your friend (who seemingly does know how to open it).
It is the easiest way to get an answer to your question rather than getting someone else to look into it.

Re: Señor Casaroja's Noesis
I have managed to assign materials to faces correctly after doing some math and figuring out how to cut up the index buffer. The textures are stored in the local directory, but for whatever reason I want to create a texList with all of the texture objects (I guess for exporting). So I started by ope...

Re: Señor Casaroja's Noesis
just make a new function that reads one value and return tuple[0] I'm only concerned that I would be making a ton of extra calls in between to go through the custom read method which would slow things down for anyone that uses it. Especially since I tend to read a lot of individual values rather th...

Re: Señor Casaroja's Noesis
I've come to realize that the way I'm doing my interface is wrong; the NoeBitStream object should be directly accessible and additional methods written only to make certain things "easier" (meaning, for myself), rather than completely hiding it away. The only reason for that was in case yo...

Re: How to open .mdl?
It is a technical solution since your friend has the solution to open it using a program.
I don't know what marmoset is (all I'm getting are rows and rows of monkeys in google).
But other than that I guess you can post some samples and someone might recognize how to work with it.

Well here is an interesting game. It's a simple 3D fighter written in D. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FVWUtUHnx2U The game comes with all of the source code along with instructions for building it (lol) The models are stored in plain XML. Anyone could probably find the function that parses it also...

He never said he wanted to modify itrengareng wrote:Modifying game files without permission is illegal. Read the EULA of the game, before installation.
But, you are saying sharing file is illegal. Why you are here then?
Plus he wasn't sure whether it's illegal to distribute game files.

I have to read the documentation.
I have some model formats stored in plain XML.
Does noesis come with python's XML module?

Re: Señor Casaroja's Noesis
Think I found a type issue. I'm doing something like #n is an int numFace = n / 6 for i in range(numFace) ... But then it says "TypeError: 'float' object cannot be interpreted as an integer" When I printed out type(numFace) it was int though since python interpreted it as integer division....

Re: wii cpk
Did you try both drag/drop and through command-line. I think it should at least give some error if it tried to do something and failed.
It should start by saying "cpk_unpack (some version)", followed by anything that might happen.

Fate/Extra pak archives
I extracted the cpk archive using cpk_unpack and among some compressed archives I found some pak archives which were uncompressed (a lot of them had "RIFF WAVE" near the top) The format is looks simple and should take some people only a couple minutes (just a table at the top followed by t...
