Re: Files not appearing in explorer
Well this is interesting. I moved the file from 010 editor's open dialog into my documents (G:\My Documents) and the file showed up, though if I put it back to the folder that I originally saved it to (G:\Image) it doesn't show up. I moved it under G:\, and it also showed up. Though when I moved it ...

Re: Files not appearing in explorer
Hopefully a restart will make all those files show up.
It's strange that it's just explorer that doesn't see it.
Maybe I should just find an alternative.

Files not appearing in explorer
So I'm having an odd problem. I'm running on winXP . On some applications, when I want to create a new directory or save a new file, they are created successfully but I can't see it in windows explorer. So for example I might run filecutter and the output file should appear in the same folder as the...

Re: Señor Casaroja's Noesis
You can double-click on "skip render" and it should not be rendered.
I don't know whether exporting from preview will also skip those though (I would like to think it does, since there are two ways to export o.O)

Re: Señor Casaroja's Noesis
Ya, just pass the bytes to encodefloat16 and you should get the same output.
Maybe you can check that that is true.

Re: The Imposible .x format, max and blender experts.
Hmm yes I just need to keep a frame count. Since the frame count does not change until I run into another frame, any templates associated with a frame is also kept track of if needed. In fact I just realized the error in how I'm parsing it: I'm treating templates as some fixed struct and not treatin...

Re: The Imposible .x format, max and blender experts.
I don't understand how the bones are defined. We have a set of frames, and each frame can have a name like "bip..." which is a bone. Of couse there are frames like "Scene Root" which probably shouldn't be a bone. It defines a set of SkinWeight templates which defines which vertex...

Re: The Imposible .x format, max and blender experts.
Ok I have started writing a simple parser for noesis for the .x uncompressed binary format and gotten somewhere. http://i.imgur.com/AumKy.jpg I probably will need to refine the code so that it reflects the structure of the format (ie: read token, do whatever, read another token, do whatever, keep re...

Re: Señor Casaroja's Noesis
Cause you don't have the textures there.
vtx, vvd, and mdl do not contain texture information.

Found something

Anyways I'm writing a noesis plugin for the binary .x format since it looks like an amusing programming exercise.

Re: The Imposible .x format, max and blender experts.
spec Here is the entire spec. I think with C or C-like languages it would be easier to write it simply because of how the format is defined. For example there are a bunch of templates, which one could probably easily translate into structs and then just run it through the file. In Python I would de...

Is it possible that some parts of the file are still encrypted?

Re: The Imposible .x format, max and blender experts.
I'll probably write one for noesis.
I've been meaning to do it since
(1) the specs are basically given to you. All of it (unless it's outdated)
(2) it's a good format as an exercise for file parsing.

Re: Corpse Party PSP image.bin file
The 10 MB sample most likely won't work cause it's trying to decompress or go to some offset that may or may not exist.
