Re: Señor Casaroja's Noesis
Unless...by crash, you mean it shows the Python exception dialog? If you write Python code that raises an exception, you're going to see the exception. It wouldn't be wise or desirable for me to change that behavior. As you already mentioned, as well, you can use a try/except if for some reason you...

Re: my first attempt at file format exploring (Tekken 3 form
And I'm a proud Python user. I usually use my game engine for testing, but I can use the old Blender too. I don't know anything about Noesis python library. I couldn't find any docs. I find myself using only like 5-6 functions in noesis to get most of the stuff done. Mainly cause I don't know what ...

Re: my first attempt at file format exploring (Tekken 3 form
Use noesis.

Models + textures plz.
Whenever I think console games, I imagine complicated and awkward data structures.
But that tekken game doesn't seem too bad. Do a lot of PS3 games look like that?

Re: Dreamkiller
Were these files extracted or they just came like this with the game?
Some of the files look weird.

Re: Books about file formats
I don't think people buy books to look at specs, but to look at how those specs came together in the first place.

Re: Very Basic model format conversion (Shaiya).
If you can use the script to trace the file manually you can probably find where the structures are changing.
So for example if it's expecting a name and you're not seeing a name, then you know something is different.

Re: Ninety nine nights - bm files
Better to just attach it.
If a filehost deletes it due to inactivity we can't blame anyone.
Now the tool is slightly bigger. Maybe we should request larget attachments

Re: [XBOX] Xiaolin Showdown .msh .skl .at Files
Should probably post a couple more, to compare different files. Meshes located in msh Uses a chunk-based format (chunk, chunkSize, data) FORM, MESH, INFO, TVX0, MAT1, TEX1, SKN2, VTX1, SVX0, PAD0. I don't see any index buffers, and SKN2 is the largest section. textures are those .at files, but I don...

Re: Very Basic model format conversion (Shaiya).
when you say "now if we know the file format" what does that mean? if we know how a file is structured? what if all i know is the file type - FLEV - but not much else. I know the 3D data must be in there. I don't know why some FLEVs are .flev and some .flv and I dont know why some have te...

Re: Books about file formats
lol, used books from $0.01. Books look pretty old but I guess that would be more useful since it probably focuses more on the simple basic stuff that eventually grew into today's monster. You might find it online. For example: http://www.fileformat.info/mirror/egff/index.htm EDIT: briefly looked ove...

Upload the files anyways. Someone might be interested and want to look at it a couple months later but you might be long gone by then.

Re: [Request] Armored Core For Answer Models/Textures
Now all we need is the flver importer that was written but removed from MF lol
I can see the vertices and indices, along with the texNames and stuff, but if it's already been done hopefully someone still has it.
