Trivial issue: I want to read 10 half-floats.
What's the fastest way to do it?
loop + readHalfFloat()?
2. Uncompressed DDS. Which texFmt do I use?

Re: Tekken Hybrid
Ugh half-floats everywhere, complicated faces all over the place. Is it as (or more efficient) computation-wise than just using triangle lists and single-precision floats? Let's see how to write a noesis plugin for this... I wonder if there's something in noesis that will make this face thing easier...

Re: Call of Juarez 2 model files
Maybe he wants samples so that he can practice his own import scripts.

Re: Señor Casaroja's Noesis
I've seen several formats that store the bone index and weights for each vertex with the vertices themselves (which makes sense I guess) So for example if it's something like struct vertex { #52 bytes float[3] positions float[3] normals byte[4] bone indices float[4] bone weights (corresponding to ea...

Re: Shaiya Online [Solved]
lol, the first 3D format that got me started on the whole reversing thing. Mainly cause chrrox used it for his tutorial. And I realized there were two 3DC formats, but from the file alone you won't know until you crash. First type has the numBones + bone Structs Second type doesn't. I think only the...

Re: Astonishia Story (PSP)
I don't think it's compressed. I think the file is just scrambled (no particular technical term) at offset 0x2CDE21E you can see something that looks like an index buffer, though that could be coincidence, or just something entirely different. At the beginning of the file you can see "hun ter s...

Re: 3D model reversing compilation
Hmm, what are some ways to learn how to do the stuff. I guess simple ones are 1: familiarizing themselves with the API. Always useful....and one reason why I don't recommend blender for this because it's a little hard to separate the rendering from the parsing. Doesn't matter if I can write a parser...

They're still working on it, but some people seem to have gotten some results.

Re: [NOESIS] Dragon Nest, help needed
Your normals and UV's might be a little weird because of how you are calling the functions.

I think niftools supports everything before 20.6.x.x

Re: [NOESIS] Dragon Nest, help needed
Call rapi.rpgSetMaterial before you commit the triangles.
Then the texture should be applied to those faces.

Re: noesis Gamebryo nif importer
lol ya they have a gif on their page. 4 devs, 322k+ lines, $4.6 million It's definitely one of the more interesting game modding tools, kind of like the one that works with the unreal engine. It looks like there's no documentation for some of the structs that appeared in games like RO2, catherine, o...

Oh, that's why I see a bunch of repeating indices all over the place.
Is there a common algorithm for processing those kinds of index buffers?
More over, you should add that to the wiki!

Re: noesis Gamebryo nif importer
What kind of importers do they have right now anyways?
It looks like they've stopped supporting their 3dmax and blender plugins, and nifskope only exports geometry.
