If you can get the model files and they happen to be GMO format that's already supported then you should be able to do stuff with them.
Otherwise you're stuck with either figuring it out yourself or posting it in the 3D section and hoping someone will help you out.

Re: GuildWars models
I usually don't use classes like structs (it looks like that's how they're being used). I just toss stuff in lists or dicts and grab them later. That's what they're for anyways lol Here's my attempt at reproducing the code (based on what you've written and uploaded so far) But I'm using the rpg inte...

Re: GuildWars models
Good work. That outline is easier to understand than reading from the code. Now I can look at the code and go "oh ya, that's what that flag is for and that's what the condition is about" I think the more complicated part of the code is the getattr and setattr. You really don't need those i...

Drawbacks to game localization?
There are tons of languages out there, but maybe only a couple dozen are actually available in any arbitrary commercial game. And obviously, a lot of languages out there simply won't get a localized copy of the game, thus effectively reducing the amount of enjoyment they could potentially get out of...

Re: GuildWars models
Can you draft out an outline of the format? The code up there is kind of hard to follow and not sure if you changed how it looks lol, particularly the getattr/setattr which I think is making things a little more complicated than it should be. I was looking at it and it sort of looks like you have yo...

Re: noesis Gamebryo nif importer
There isn't much to crack. Most of the newer formats don't really add anything new (lots of NiDataBlock018, 118, 124, ...) but other than that, the docs on niftools should be sufficient. I'm not putting too much time towards this atm cause of issues like papers and projects and stuff, but the script...

Re: GuildWars models
Nice. Are you exporting it from noesis and then importing into blender?
Now all we need is to figure out how to write a tool that will export data from noesis and into blender directly!

Re: GuildWars models
Did you manually create NoeMesh objects and stuff?
You can just manually transform the vector.

Re: 3D model reversing compilation
Yes, that's always been one of the major criticisms of subpaging schemes; what if multiple articles just happen to share the same content? Do we subpage under this article? or that article? Let's just not bother at all! Obviously, redundancy is bad, so the last time I was like "how about let's ...

Your opinion on the ethics of reverse engineering
As (most) of us here probably do some sort of "resource hacking" of sorts, we've probably also thought about whether the stuff we do is actually ethical or not. By ethical, I mean as someone who may be a developer himself, or perhaps a professional in the industry, or just someone that has...

Re: Legend Of Immortal (gamebryo engine)
It might also be a custom format, or at least, whatever that 20.6.0.0b is supposed to be (beta? lol) There are just 31 wpf files all with a similar structure (all named the same way. data0.wpf, data1.wpf, ..., data30.wpf) Another thing to notice is that for example, data0.wpf has a bunch of filename...
