Only korea can get away with this in an MMO.

Re: Shui Hu Q Zhuan 2 online (Unreal engine)
Assuming you don't need those 12 bytes for any of the models/textures, we can just skip those 12 bytes by increasing the offset of each file. #Shui Hu Q Zhuan 2 #temp unpacker #doesn't decompress files idstring "FSH24001" get FSIZE long get FILES long set FOLDER_NAME = "/" for i ...

Oh ya, SVN is a good idea also.
Though, I imagine a lot of people don't know how to use SVN lol
google code has an option to browse repositories in the browser?

Dropbox is great
So I'm lazy. I write a bunch of noesis plugins but they're mostly incomplete. I figure I'll get back to them when I figure out more of this 3D stuff. So the stuff is just sitting there gathering dust. Then I remembered dropbox had public folders and so I thought maybe I could just use that. And what...

Vertex colors
What's the point of vertex colors? I know they have an NP-complete problem for vertex coloring, but other than that...
How are they used?
Are there any practical uses that one should be aware of?

http://i.imgur.com/9AblT.jpg Now...skel files. It is not obvious which skel file is associated with which model. Kind of weird. At a glance, it looks like you have the skeleton names, followed by a list of integers which I guess might have something to do with indexing and parenting and stuff. Then...

Re: GuildWars models
That is a known issue with the struct module. First time I ran into it, had no clue what was going on and spent about an hour just trying to figure out why I'm reading 22 bytes rather than (what I thought would be) 14 :[ http://docs.python.org/library/struct.html#examples import struct struct.calcsi...

Re: 3D model reversing compilation
Getting started with model reversing can be an easy or hard task depending on the kind of skills the user already has, how quickly she can learn the tools and ideas, etc. Well at least for me, although I understood hex pretty quickly and the basics of 3D easily since there are text formats to work w...

Re: Looks like a MDX File. Need a little help
Appears to be different? From what?
Looks like a simple model file. A bunch of frames (maybe) followed by vertex buffer and then index buffer.
Textures referenced are tga's.

Are there any cases where it is actually bad to change the winding order? (eg: something goes wrong and the faces aren't drawn correctly and maybe crashes occur)

Re: DragonSoul AUP Decoding
Game looks nice.
Hope someone looks into it.
My first guess is that it's compressed, considering the integer at the beginning of each file relative to the size of the file.
