Re: Señor Casaroja's Noesis
Is there a way to set the path to the python plugins folder? Or perhaps specify a search path? That way I can just point to my dropbox folder. Also, suppose I had a game that used the same format, but were distributed on two separate platforms and therefore used big and small endian. bs = NoeBitStre...

I don't know what it's used for. I'm assuming it's reversed from the engine or something.

Algorithm for packing files into archive and fast access
What's a fast way to pack together a bunch of files with a reasonably fast way to index them? File Table File Data I can build the table and the data separately, like for each file, create an entry for the file, and put the file data in a buffer. Then, combine the table and data sections together an...

Re: creating a new pak file when extracting method is known
If you already know the structure of the format then all you need to do is write a program that will take a bunch of files and put them inside an archive using the format specified in the extract script. Or write a program that will read the BMS script for the format and then create your archive bas...

Re: TimeSplitters series map geometry request
You don't need experience to be able to parse a file; it's just reading a file.
I am simply trying to parse the file from top to bottom successfully. Pattern-matching is probably the easiest way to start if you have no idea what the data represents.

How did you make the shortcut mapping interface?
I think it is one of the better shortcut setup things I've seen. Well, most programs don't even allow you to set up your own shortcuts!

Re: TimeSplitters series map geometry request
Since it's a PS2 game there might be a bunch of opcodes that I am just treating as random hex data. TS2 there are several .raw files (I don't know if this is how it is stored, or just given that extension based on some ripper). The first four bytes indicate what type of file it is 0x01 means it's a ...

Well at least it's not encrypted or compressed or anything.
Send me one of those.
You mentioned you were modding UT. Does this mean you are looking for a way to take these levels and load i there? If so, what kind of tools does UT have that would allow you to import/modify maps?
