Star Ocean 2 PSX file system
I would like to dump this data out, and figured I could do it by just scanning for SLZ's, but then the data is not stored contiguously and there are lots of empty patches of 0's so maybe it would be better to see if an unpacker could be written. Here is the beginning of the large data file. I have i...

Re: Ripping sprites from Playstation games using some emulat
Found an explanation how to work with save states and put something together from star ocean 2

A pretty tedious process lol maybe I'll throw 3D ripper at it and see what it gets...

Re: emperor online
Have you tried the mirrors?
I find that some of the links are hit-or-miss; I randomly chose one and was getting 60 KBps, but then I chose another and was getting 150 KBps

Re: Ripping sprites from Playstation games using some emulat
I am interested in ripping 2D images so not sure if the tools listed will work (since I have seen them used mostly for 3D)
I will look into the two tools mentioned.

Ripping sprites from Playstation games using some emulator
Played star ocean 2 again recently and it was great. Now I want the sprites lol I looked at the contents on the disk but couldn't come up with anything useful so I figured it'd be easier to approach it a different way. Which PSX emulator can I use that will make the ripping process easier? What is t...

Re: DK Online (XAC)
I have updated the DK_Online script with revised parsing for material chunk 5.
I am not sure if this breaks support for yulgang 2 since I have added a couple values to read (no samples on me to check).
The UV's look a little messed up though not sure if it will look good.

Re: Rumble Roses XX Modded (another one?)
Illusion's .xx format is completely unrelated if the only thing in common is the fact that the word "XX" is in the name of the game. It is a proprietary format used by that company for most of their 3D assets. In any case, I think it would be better to look for a community that focuses on ...

Re: Señor Casaroja's Noesis
I haven't seen a way to do something like "select plugin to load file with", but if it isn't already built-in that would be a useful tool to write. Maybe I'll write one to take a look at the tool API.

Re: Sonic 2006 .XNO Model Format
The format is chunk-based with 16-byte alignment. Each chunk has the format struct chunk { char[4] chunkType uint32 chunkSize byte[] data... } I would imagine all of them start with NXIF, and end with NEND. Judging from the names referenced in each chunk, you have chunks like NXTL - textures? NXEF -...

Re: DK Online (XAC)
There's a huge chunk of zlib compressed data somewhere in the middle. Not sure if I'm supposed to parse the stuff around it.

How about a custom read method? Like...xread LOL
But ya I could just stick with
