Re: [Request] Xin Jian 3
The script is long and confusing with chunks and offsets everywhere!

I don't have 06 or 07.
Textures are kind of interesting. Upload those folders.

Re: [Request] Xin Jian 3
Ya, the files aren't too useful until we can get filenames.

Re: [Request] Cloud Nine
http://i.imgur.com/BP0eJ.jpg The stuff after the material section I can parse, but I'm not sure what they are for. I've commented them out but the functions are there. Weights and vertex morphs I think, since it references a morph file. Noesis texture finding seems to search for the specified path,...

Re: [Request]Raycity
I don't see any good integers to work with, so all that data is hard to parse.
I don't see how to determine the size of the DDS data either.
The only thing I've found was this:

Re: [Request] Cloud Nine
Hmm ok so I'm guessing it's from the same developer has valiant/argos/DK/War of Dragon considering how the xtex format has the exact same idstring, but the formats are different. Anyways I've updated the DK online texture plugin and added a new one for this one. I didn't check enough of the DK onlin...

Re: Xin Jian 3
Yes, same game. I looked at a couple of the chunks that are output and found some path references. Though, this could likely be part of one of the files. Where might they store it if it's not in the archives? There doesn't seem to be a separate file table either. The game itself has very little file...

Samples databank
Do we have something like this lying around somewhere? This idea has probably occurred from time to time. It's typically difficult to get a legitimate copy of some product for various reasons -budget constraints. Obvious. -technical constraints. Don't know how to get the resources out. -time constra...

Loss from resource theft
How much do developers or publishers lose if their resources were to be extracted and used by general people in general projects? For example, Square and Tecmo probably get all of their models "stolen" and used in all sorts of projects. For the consumers, we're typically happy to be able t...

[Tutorial] Exploring model formats: 9 Dragon
Using this game for reference: http://forum.xentax.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=8317 Intro This is not a full tutorial. It doesn't show you step-by-step how each section of the file was discovered. Most of it was done through simple pattern-searching techniques like looking for specific sequences of...

Re: What is CULT?
So basically CLUT's are often used when you know that the range of colors you're going to be using is limited (either by the dev, or by other factors like software/hardware)

Re: [Request] 9Dragons
Ok I've parsed the mesh format and it loads both types of models. http://db.tt/8JM9Mnso The section after the index buffer is vertex weights. The skeleton is located in the .Xbp file. I may change the script so that you should place all textures in a folder called "texture", just because a...

Re: [Request] 9Dragons
-vertex and index buffers are obvious. -The number of textures for a particular mesh does not seem to be determined beforehand. May have to do some rough checks just to deal with those. -found two different vertex structs. Not obvious how to determine which one to use http://i.imgur.com/uEr7g.jpg ED...
