The PAR chunk gives you filenames and offsets relative to the start of that PAR chunk. One can probably treat this as an archive and unpack the files, but that is not important since you can just treat it like any chunk based format. Sizes can be obtained by just taking the difference of each offset...

I don't know what the function actually does when it's drawing the faces. I just pass in the the index buffer and hope it works out lol. So it's hard to trace where the problem might be coming from (vertices are wrong? Faces are wrong?) Or maybe if the model just looks like that in-game lol Maybe if...

Well, I would expect gamebryo to load their own models lol

I want to at least finish one version of gamebryo (at least textured meshes) before looking at others.

Never worked with bones (yet) but since the DAE file stores it as a 4x4 matrix maybe you can try converting it using `toMat44` and see if it is as you expect as a 4x4?

That one uses a chunk-based format. That should be enough to parse the entire file. The chunk size includes the chunk ID as well as the size. Starts with the header chunk with ID "MDL\x00" of 44 bytes, followed by numeric chunk ID's. Header includes counts like bone count, mesh count, and ...

Is there like specific things to look out for that would indicate that a tag is coming up.
Or do those tags just randomly appear whenever the devs felt like using it?

Scripts are in my dropbox folder.
All scripts that I write should be linked there because they may change whenever I feel like updating them.

It is clear that I've been very lazy and unmotivated and never went to look at how to add bones or animations or anything.

I use a standardized set of functions for loading models. Currently it loads all of the models in the same folder. You can use noesis scene files to determine what to load as well.
