Re: [PSP] Black Rock Shooter *.VOL (RTDP)

It's quite a nice little format, looks like implicit triangles, found 10 verts in exact same position, not got them to fully cover the model yet, think that's down to the offsets. Anyway, have a look at the .efp files, these are the same/similar format to the .mdl, and alot simpler in the number of ...

Re: [Request] Loong

Hmmm, 4 byte flags sound good.
if vertType == b'\x3E':
or '\x3D'

if the 3rd bytes 1st bit is 1 then culling is on?
(don't work for the blood soul file though)

Re: [Request] Loong

Thanks, btw errors on D06.fak (in the original samples)

A lot of the models need both sides of a face drawn.
Maybe they just don't bother? they are fairly low poly.

Re: [Request] Loong

It's a rat type thing on a chest. You got the texture for that? TW_d.TGA (or .dds) 16 bytes per vertex instead of 22. Had to hash out 4 lines of materials code for it to work. def parse_vertices(self, numVerts, vertGroups): for vertCount in vertGroups: vertBuff = self.inFile.readBytes(vertCount*16) ...

Re: Program for plotting points in 3d

Seconded - Metasequoia Here's my loong .fak vertex plotter :- http://uppit.com/f3hyb9a9fqq0/Fakverts.zip The bit to just plot vertices is real simple, you make 2 point polys. for i in range(0, numvert): of.write("2 V("+str(i)+" "+str(i)+")\n") example for a cube Metasequoia Document Format Text Ver ...

Re: Final Fantasy XI .DAT (PC)

The mirror flag is quite obvious in the Alexander model because there is one object in the model that isn't mirrored.
How the hell do you skin it?

Re: noesis Gamebryo nif importer

It's Big Endian name lengths.
The names are the same formatting as your original importer, they just using big endian instead of little endian.

Kung fu man, guess the xbox needs extra data for something special :)

Doesn't look 3D.
First 4 bytes say CAFF - audio format or compressed data.

Re: noesis Gamebryo nif importer

That would be a huge problem yes, but I meant the two general major differences between different formats is the way the main data is structured, seems to be either separate chunks or all mixed up. Formatted by the NiMesh structure. The best approach IMO is to treat each GAME as a unique format but ...

Re: noesis Gamebryo nif importer

Thanks for the files, much appreciated. As far as I can tell there only seems to be 2 real differences in the model formats, the ones where the vertex, uv, normal.. data are in separate chunks, and the ones where they are mixed up together. Apart from the oddities of adding tiny bits of data whereve...

Re: [Request] RedBlood Online

Rename it to fmt_Gamebryo_nif.py (after moving or renaming your older version), then reload the plugins. only reason it would say nif_30.0.0.2 is because of the file name. Meant it for copy and paste, not download, do better next time. (will repost when I get the textures to load correctly without u...

Re: [Request] RedBlood Online

For the meshes it's 'fairly' easy. http://pastebin.com/AetYa1RY (don't replace your existing nif script, just rename or move it) This is a real ugly hack, just don't know enough about python and noesis yet. http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff428/codex34/general/head.jpg Hey finale00, how you get ...
