I'm about to try to write a bit of script for the following information on the 'master header' in Carnivores .car files: Header block: (offset: 0000 0000 hex, 0 decimal) byte name[24] (name) byte extra[8] (usually "msc: #", where "#" is a number) long num_anims (number of animati...

The version it gives in the title bar when MexBinderPlus is running is v1.5. The version of the ocx is 5.0.37.14.

I tried that, but I just get an error message:

mexbinderplus2

Run-time error '372':

Umm... where do I go to get MexScriptor? I've looked all over the place, but the closest to it that I could find was the MexBinder. Or I could just be blind... Yeah, we'll go with that. 8)

Mex Scripting Tutorial

Well, the idea for this came from the following thread:
viewtopic.php?t=1032. The reason behind it (like I need to give one) is to help me understand how to write my own scripts, but it could also help other n00bies to MexScripter. I'm here to learn, so teach me suckers! :D

Well, I've downloaded MexBinderPlus and read the Help file, but I don't have any experience with scripting beyond HTML and some CSS :bleh: . So if anyone could take some time out of their busy schedule and show me how to do just some really basic scripting, I would much appreciate it.

This is another game file explorer that I've known about for awhile, but I just thought of showing you now. It might help you get support for some new formats: http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/8271/index.html

Is there anywhere I can go to find a tutorial on how to use these scripts, and if not, could someone show me? :tard:

Well, these files are essentially archive files. The major obstacle would be the fact that they are in a raw, uncompressed format (basically, it's like they made the different details - graphics, sounds, and animations - and used a hex editor to "dump" all of it into one file. Do keep in m...
