Isn't new DOOM using same format? There you can get models with bones and weights. So, here it's possible too. I'm afraid I can't find old scripts , though I can remake script I made for other game with similiar 3d format. Ufortunatelly, I don't have time for this at the moment, I'm playing MMO Black Desert when I have free from work time.

It's not hard to make static objects work, I would take a look at Revolution more detailed, but since format is almost the same as Ryse (and there's another scripter who did big job making a tool), I think, you should contact him and send some samples, if he will say, that he's not interested in sup...

I tried my script for Ryse and got models with weights and bones, I suggest you to use this script, in the Ryse thread - should work!

You will have to share some samples of static models. I can remove bone-import part and edit some lines in the script to import them. Though, if it will require a lot of changes, I don't know how long it will take to fix them, I don't have time for scripting ATM, unfortunately

I extracted all characters from DUST 514 (male/female), by request from xentax's user, it's using edge compression, though vertices are packed too, format is complex.
