Re: Rise of Nations Models
Thanks a lot TGE! I tried this out, and it seemed to work quite well. It wasn't perfect compared to the official rifleman.max file that I tested against, but I'm not sure if the rifleman.bh3 was exported directly out of that max file anyway. The differences are not much regardless. http://imgur.com/...

Rise of Nations Models
Hey everyone, I have figured out most of the file format for Rise of Nations, but there's just this one section that I can't figure out that has to do with the normals I think. Here is a link to my 3ds Max scripts, and 010 Editor binary templates: https://github.com/Ryder25/Rise-of-Nations The secti...

Re: granny grn file, Importing bones
I've managed to create a proper transform. It seems obvious now, I don't know why I was having problems earlier. I do have another question though. Grn files contain bone bindings, which tell which bones from the skeleton apply to a certain mesh. What I don't understand is the OBB, and this unknown ...

granny grn file, Importing bones
Hey guys, I've been working on being able to import, and export .grn files from the Age of Mythology game to 3ds Max, and I was wondering how I can create a proper bone system. I have position, and quaternion data, but I notice most other scripts I've found online are for formats that have the entir...

Re: 3ds Max Script Animating Help
Sorry, I figured it out. It turns out my timing is off. I really don't understand how all this timing stuff works in 3ds max. When I play the animation, it goes by really fast. Edit: It turns out its some setting in 3ds max that's making the animation play ultra fast. Worked fine for a friend. Threa...

3ds Max Script Animating Help
I am working on a model importer for the game Age of Mythology. The file I'm importing is an intermediate file that I made to make it easier to import. When I import the meshes, they all get placed in the same spot. I have no idea how to animate them. Each mesh in this case should be one frame. The ...

F1 2012 PSSG to DAE
Hey guys, I come here because I need some help writing one of my programs. Currently I'm trying to export models from pssg files of the F1 2012 game by Codemasters. If there is someone that knows the xml that goes into making a dae file, you can really help me speed things up. Right now my program c...

Re: 3ds max PSSG model import
This is some great stuff here. Currently I have an app that opens pssg files completely but only supports exporting/importing textures and cubemaps. You can find it here: http://petar.outer-heaven.net/downloads/ I'd love to extend it to work with models, but the problem is that I have zero knowledge...
