Re: ARchive_neXt
Although I guess it's just the fact that I (and a lot of other people) seem to select it wrong. There is no "wrong" way to select. Maybe this video will help. With 'datafile' I take it you mean this branch where you have everything together instead of seperated? http://www.tbotr.net/image...

Re: ARchive_neXt
So I got really curious if I was opening the models the wrong way after seeing Paul44's post, because that could have been a possibility, of me and other people selecting the mesh wrong. So after only been able to find the exact branch (as seen in Paul44's images) in the DataPC_12_dlc.forge. (The L...

Re: Viewing issue...
Request maybe: is it possible to add a context-sensitive option to 'Get Texture Maps'? Ie to collect that info automatically (where it applies)? I can understand that you do not want to do this immediately, for load_time's sake. I wish it were that easy. The texture maps are referenced by file id i...

Re: ARchive_neXt
Not sure. I had a couple people on Facebook tell me they were receiving a 403 Forbidden error when trying to access my website. If you are having the same issue, PM me and I will send the file to you that way.nav00811 wrote:Why am i unable to download Archive Next V3.19

Re: ARchive_neXt
Maybe it's what version of Windows they have? Before it's release I tested ARchive_neXt on the four versions I had available to me. Windows XP 32-bit - Will not even start Windows 7 Home 32-bit - Worked (dual-boot PC) Windows 7 Pro 64-bit - Worked (laptop) Windows 8 Pro 64-bit - Worked (dual-boot P...

Re: ARchive_neXt
I wrote that exports to obj, converted fine, but without graphics. The mtl file is empty. What model are you exporting? And the problem with mesh_viewer not solved. Never said the mesh_viewer problem was solved. Best reason I can come up with for those of you having that problem is, "It's a har...

Re: ARchive_neXt
Version 3.01.19.0 Now Available! (Link is in my sig) DX10 Texture Maps are now viewable using texconv (included) to convert them to the DXT5 format. ARX and OBJ model exports will now export the DXT5 format of any DX10 texture maps. Fixed an issue where some OBJ material files were not writing the ...

Re: ARchive_neXt
Next update we will be able to view all normal maps (along with any other image that is DX10 BC7) http://www.tbotr.net/images/ARchive_neXt_009.png "Export" will still export the proper DX10 BC7 format, I will be adding an "Export As" option to allow these images to be exported as...

Re: ARchive_neXt
After a little testing/research, I think I found out the reason why Noesis has a much better looking normal map. This is the Evie dress normal map converted to DXT5 using Microsoft's texconv tool: http://www.tbotr.net/images/ARchive_neXt_008.png So, if I can make texconv work with ARchive_neXt we sh...

Re: ARchive_neXt
Maybe the reason for the Normal maps showing up like that (In aRchive_neXt) is because (from experience) most programs doesn't like greenish normal maps, but blue ones? Maybe that's why ARchive neXt was showing them all 'pixelated'? Nope, the pixelated version in ARchive_neXt was due to me assuming...

Re: ARchive_neXt
This is how Photoshop CS2 with the Intel DDS plugin displays that normal map for me.

Clearly Noesis does a better job.

Adjustments to both the ARX and OBJ model exports for certain models that would otherwise be extremely small once imported into a 3D modeling program.
