You could also try changing the name or extension - eg change it to archive.arc and then use the file cutter.

Hi mate, Thanks for the script changes. Sometimes I write the specs for a format, but when I go to implement it I realise some mistakes which I don't always update in the specs. Sorry about that - hopefully there shouldn't be too many dodgy specs. Anyway, I will look into my Game Extractor plugin an...

Hi, Can you please supply us with some archives from the game to look at - we don't have the time or resources to download demos all the time :( First, download the File Cutter program from http://www.watto.org/extract/download/cutter.zip and run the program. Select one of the large archives, and cl...

:) I was curious as to why there was no posting of the new version on the forums, considering I got the email about it a few days ago. I was almost going to start a new thread for it, but now it seems I don't need to worry. Looking good though - I installed it today and will have to experiment aroun...

Hi mate, We will be happy to help, but you will have to supply us with some archives to look at. You said that they are too big, so therefore download the file cutter program from http://www.watto.org/extract/download/cutter.zip . Run the program, and choose one of the archives from the game. Click ...

Hi guys, I have had a bit of a look at it - not sure that this is really an archive though. I have identified the settings area - thats nothing challenging, and I can probably extract the PNG image from the file (which I believe is supposed to be a background image or something). The rest of the dat...

Hi mate, Yes, Game Extractor does open the archives from Dungeon Siege 2, however support for this game was only added in the latest update. If you have the full version of Game Extractor, you can download and install the latest update available on the downloads page. If you have the basic version o...

The format of the files is a little weird, but I think I have it figured out. I will try to write some scripts or something for this format over the next few days.

Hammer: it depends on whether I have written a replace plugin for this file or not. The way MexCom and Game Extractor work are both quite different - and replacing files in archives is definately where MexCom outshines Game Extractor. For replacing or repacking to be enabled in Game Extractor, I *ki...

I had a bit of a look at these files - they seem to have the same structure, except one of them has a bit of extra header data in it. I can clearly see some files in there, but I'm not too sure how to read this file exactly - there doesn't seem to be any real clear directory structure or anything. W...

OK, will have to get Mr Mouse to take a look at it - I've never used the Do-While and If-Else statements in MexScript before so am not sure exactly how its all programmed. Also will need to check single byte reading - not sure if that works either. Thanks anyway - I tried :) WATTO watto@watto.org ht...

Hi mate, Um I don't really know what the structure is by looking at that code above - I don't read hex all that much - but if you could post some pieces of the archive then I would be happy to look at it for you. You can get a file cutter program at http://www.watto.org/extract/download/cutter.zip i...
