Re: Crash Bandicoot 1/2/3 (PSX) - NSF/NSD File Archives
Here's a compiled version of my program so far (.NET 2.0): https://github.com/ughman/CrashEdit/downloads It can open NSF files and extract individual items from it, but nothing more. This isn't really useful for any modding purposes yet; my focus right now is on reverse engineering. Oh, that's grea...

Re: Crash Bandicoot 1/2/3 (PSX) - NSF/NSD File Archives
STR files? I think STR files are compressed somewhere in NSF/NSD archives and i will be very grateful when i could extract this files by your utility. Can you do that? The Japanese version of the Crash Bandicoot PSX series use STR video, but it isn't held within the NSF/NSD archives. Are you sure t...

Re: Crash Bandicoot 1/2/3 (PSX) - NSF/NSD File Archives
But what of the names listed in the archives such as obj_title, obj_elevator, etc? Surely they would have some attachment to the files. Those are just for the game objects placed in the levels, such as boxes, gems, lives, and enemies. They don't really apply to the overall structure of the files. P...

Awesome, a little bit more info and we should be good to start cutting files out then. Thanks for the reply FurryFan.

Re: Vertex colors
PSX games use vertex colouring to improve the detail of models while keeping the load times and possibly disk space low. See the Crash Bandicoot series, for example.

Re: JPCSP Model Ripping Guide
Aren't there methods to copy the UVs from one model to another? Assuming the two have identical model structures.

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools
*facepalm* ...can't we try to handle this a bit more maturely, please? :| I get a bit tired of general programmer temperament of "thats it, one person got me a bit annoyed so I quit and you all suck". You all have seen this before I bet and that is all I'm getting from the latest post. Th...

Spider-Man (2001) - .PSX archives
Could someone please look into extracting the contents of the .PSX archives from Spider-Man? The archives are found within *\data.pkr, an archive which is already extractable with Watto Studios' Game Extractor. Most of these archives are further contained within .kat files for each level, but some a...

There is currently no way as far as I understand, but thakis on Emutalk said something about writing a program to support it ages ago.

Re: Big Boss and Eva Models/Textures
Oh yeah. I saw a bit of information about the models on the PS23DFormat wiki, but I didn't know it went any further than that... Unless I've severly forgotten something.
