Ah, okay, so the Installer will have register them. Hmm, I noticed I could not register the pluginmanager.dll, nor needed to to address it.

Yes, and don't think I don't want to help Rahly fixing this, but I'm in the midst of my marriage system. ;)

AND I plan to fix my piece for the tutorial Watto and I are working on this weekend, so you begging people can figure out your own formats next time :D :P

Cheers!

No, but it did put me on the right track though. There were 5 strings, but also 5 integers. And it was them all along. These only reserve 2 for themselves. I changed them to longs (signed 4 bytes). Type TManagerPluginInfo ' Version 1.0 Size As Long PluginName As String PluginAuthor As String PluginU...

Nah, that's not it.

You know, it has something to do with the PChars (strings) I think. Because the lenB function gave 36 (the longest I got) with the old method. There are 5 strings, 5 + 36 = 41 , so perhaps VB is missing a byte when doing lenB on the record and strings are in the record.

Okay, THAT did work. I did not know it had to be 41. I tried it and it worx now. Only, that's not a very elegant way to do it. :) Still, it gives us enough to work with.

That's not working either. I have tried making the strings just byte() or even fixed byte(10), but that's also not working. I keep getting FALSE as return value.

Right, no this stupid VB obviously has not got a SizeOf method (it has Len, or LenB but both probably do not give the right size (32, or 36 respectively), as the function still fails). I will see if I can do this by calling an external method, have to see which one will do the trick though. VB is es...

Ah, I see now. Probably would have to check the .pas file you send more closely eh. I think that won't be a problem then.

If it works out I will work on the implementation.

Okay, back to the stuff at hand. I tried addressing the manager.dll from within VB by declaring and coding: Type TManagerPluginInfo ' Version 1.0 Size As Integer PluginName As String PluginAuthor As String PluginURL As String PluginEmail As String PluginFullPath As String VersionMajor As Integer Ver...
