Well, I created a small script that will do it. Do ; FindLoc OFF String BIK 0 ; Set JP Long OFF ; Math JP += 4 ; GoTo JP 0 ; Get SIZE Long 0 ; Math SIZE += 4 ; Log "" OFF SIZE 0 0 ; While NotEOF <> 0 ; And saved it in a custom MRF file, that you can use to overwrite the one in MultiEx Comm...

I don't play the game myself, so I wouldn't be of much assistance there.

which part Manager->Plugin interface or Mexcom -> Manager interface? The latter. What I can do to call the manager to open a certain file and how mexcom will know what files are in there. Also, I noticed in the PluginInfo that you have not reserved space for file extensions (archive extensions). Pe...

Can I ask you not to include my script just yet - I've been studying the actual sound format, and it appears that I may need to keep all the snd stuff together, rather than split it apart to make it works as it was in the original application. If that's the case, I'll have to send a corrected scrip...

Okay, well, please back up the ocx and do the following: (from http://www.ascentive.com/support/new/support_dll.phtml?dllname=RICHTX32.OCX) Download RICHTX32.OCX (right click the text on the left and save to your Desktop). Back up your current copy of RICHTX32.OCX and copy the new version to the sam...

Really? How odd indeed. So that is what happens if you go to "Scriptor" and select "Start new instance"? Odd.

Perhaps you do have an outdated version. Look in your windows/system32 dir and find the ocx. Then select Properties of it and then look in "Version".

I made it a long (4 bytes) and now I got "True" and it seems to work fine.

Could you briefly show how (function-wise) I would use the Manager to open Battlefield files and extract stuff from it?

The format is indeed the same as big, just different ID strings, see also two posts in the News section ( viewtopic.php?t=1033 ); he already figured it out for himself and the scripts have been implemented for the next release.

That may be a problem with unzip32.dll not being "unlinked" to a crashed MultiEx Commander. If you start MultiEx Commander again, it can't get access to the dll, because it is still linked to the formerly crashed one. However, the search crash is still a mystery. For the all file extractio...

Well, I do think you are one of those right persons to do this, as you created a script that worked so you have experienced possible pitfalls that others trying to create a script may also fall into. Although I created the script, it still shows some of MY way of thinking at the time of creation, an...

Ahh.. I wish I could take a look at that file! :)

Perhaps it is possible to attach just a small portion of the file (enough to expose the format) ?

Well, this is even more weird as the processing of the ZIP file seems to function as it should. How about extracting stuff from it. Does that work okay? Could you send me a small zip file that will give this error?

Thanks again.
