Hmm, mpIsFileAnArchive will test whether a given file is a valid archive in the format indexed right?

The Prince of Persia format just returns True all the time, even if it's not a valid archive??

res = mpisFileAnArchive (1, Filename) (= True for all files)

W3rd.

The script is low-level in the sense that you will have to find or define a variable that is the number of "animations". If you mean, can you tell it to search for specific animation types and count them, then no. The script knows nothing about file types. It just deals with binary file ac...

I have implemented the stuff the PM coughs up in the global formats list, next is the actual implementation of the functionality.

Might you include a mpGetLastError function, that will return a number or description of the last error the Plugin Manager encountered? I am having trouble with mpGetFormatInfo. You say it's size should be 20. But if I set that, no go. But in fact I should set it to 24 to get something back. This so...

Okay, I have seen the problem. The ID-tag in the file is different. But, you can already open these with MultiEx Commander. 1. Get MultiEx Commander v4.01 2. Choose update from web from within the Commander. You will now also be able to open Need For Speed : Underground 2 .VIV files. Just use this f...

Ah yes, it works indeed. So, they are DXT3 compressed textures. Good to know. Get yourself the DXTool/Plugin for Photoshop from NVidia I believe and you can edit your own. Just make sure you just copy the data in the DXT3 files (no headers and such).

As much as I like the idea, and want to cooperate, this looks a lot like the chap at http://filext.com is doing. Try browsing there and search for 'BMP' for instance. He's got all the stuff there. Extension: BMP Program and/or Extension Function Company Windows OS/2 Bitmap Graphics Specific Notes A ...
