Yes, you do.

And Dinoguy, it is not yet possible to do something like that with the script. Basically, because the script hasn't got a clue which files are what. It just extracts.

Oh yes, you can just reuse the same variable you want, just like in regular programming. When the Scriptor encounters a new variable name it will 'declare' that one, when set in commands like "Set", "SavePos" etc. After that the value of this may change. it will have the last val...

:) yeah, I noticed you were away for a few days - hope you had a good time! It must be nice for you to finally have other people writing scripts for your program - I know its usually hard to get people to help with things like that. WATTO watto@watto.org http://www.watto.org Yes, it's very cool! I ...

F*cking brilliant! :D I tried it on the archeo.car file and it worked! I extracted all files fine! All 1244 of them. :D Here's the mc.mrf file that contains the new Esoteria .e3 and the Carnivores .CAR scripts. Backup the old mc.mrf in the MultiEx Commander data/config dir, and put this one in inste...

Yes, we can always have a quick glance at a file to assess whether support is likely. But we do need to be able to get a whole archive or parts of that archive.

Hey, FriendsofWatto, d'you think you could take another look at this if you get the time? I tried to get help writing a script for the .car files, but apparently everyone else just doesn't want to deal with a n00b such as myself... :P :P Well, the problem is with having this as a hobby, and not as ...

Back from a weekend in Paris to visit some close friends and have a laugh after only a 7-hour drive.

And lo and behold two scripts ready to add to the next release! Great work! :D

Ok, well, each call to mpFindFirstFile crashes my IDE. Perhaps the "pointer" variable in the TFileInfo is not easily implemented. What is its purpose? VB doesn't have a "pointer" variable unfortunately, I know that sucks, but that's the way it is. No *p as char; vars in VB.. . . ...

It may be possible however that the authors stored another file with the names in. Look for a file that has the same name as the archive, but with a ...

Nice ! Okay, so but MultiEx Commander can even handle importation for cod, as you saved the positions of the offset and size variables. I have rewritten it slightly : ImpType Standard ; GoTo 24 0 ; Get FNum Long 0 ; Math FNum /= 136 ; For n = 1 To FNum ; SavePos JP 0 ; Get FN String 0 ; Math JP += 1...

Well, I perhaps should have told you that when you copy paste Windows adds some extra spaces at the end of each line. Each line should end with a semi-colon ';' and not have trailing spaces. Then it will compile right.

Anyway, here's the ready-made mc.mrf:
