Good news for those interested : I cracked the Painkiller *.PAK filename encryption code. I wrote a little PAKAnalyzer to test my theory and it worked. It shows the contents of a given *.PAK file. Actually no, the resources in there are packed using unzip32.dll or some other standard PKZip tool, but the file uses it's own format to store the variables PKZip would need. .
