Sorry, did not mean not to respond. It's just that we were all busy (and some of us still are) working on a new project that takes some time.

Like Watto explained, he extracted them using a decompression method that would not allow one to start anywhere else than at the beginning of the file. The programmers may, for some reason, have intended it that way. The fact that they play well in the game, does not mean the programmers don't mess ...

That doesn't work, as VB does not allow user-defined structures to be passed ByVal. :(

Fixing up the parameters in the struct from "String" to char() didn't help either. It still crashes. Very VERY Odd.

This is because you are using an older version of MexBinder on a new type MC.MRF file. MexBinder is not forward compatible. I have yet to release a MexBinder that will use the new type MRF files. Different projects take up my time at the moment. But the release of the new Mexbinder is still on the t...

Yes, it has been on my to do list quite some time. But I (and I also believe Watto) tried but bumped into a limited explanation of the format, that prevends the format to be implemented. :( It's just a difficult format.

You have pointed out an interesting phenomenon. The Hostile Waters script was converted from the old 16-bit version script, and probably not confirmed. Indeed, it was not confirmed. ( http://forum.xentax.com/viewtopic.php?t=631&start=0 ) I have looked at it, and the MBX was screwed. The converte...

I have both, just not the full versions. I got them both to see if either would work, and neither did... though to be honest the Game Extractor worked better... lil less gibberish ;)
Really? What gibberish?

Thanks! We are working on a WIKI that covers also the stuff you mention. We'll put a link there. You yourself can then add a nice description of the file and a tutorial ;) Stay tuned.

Ok, well , it didn't crash , because the test app won't allow any errors. It will only start to retrieve the resource list if the mpIsFileAnArchive is satisfied. Your suggestion worked, so the archive is now detected as a valid one. :D However, the list (mpFindFirst) crashes the program. Declare Fun...

It didn't stop the crash. :(

It's not ID-ing the archive as a valid one, nor is it listing the filenames (it crashes there). How is it possible that the app did not crash when you tried it? Can you show me the result of my app?

Regarding the mpIsFileAnArchive, yes, I'm calling it like you said.
