Well, that certainly is helpful. .idx might be .index eh? There are 6220 files listed in there. All images. But not saved there. The header is the same as the big file and resources start at 38. Size and offset info are saved in the .idx file. Some of the images are in Progressive Graphics Format (....

That's right. This topic will be moved when you reply here again, so you'll have read this message and know that it will be moved to the Game Request forum. Freelancer is already supported in MexCom, I suppose you mean other file types than the one supported, eh? ;) Can you tell us which exactly? An...

I've noticed some of this when I edit files with MultiEx, the files I'm not editing, when rebuilding the archive, it sometimes gets bigger. I don't really know why it happens or how to fix it in any case. If you find out, please post. P.S. What programming language are you using? or just command li...

Ok thanks. I can see that the specs at the WIKI ( http://wiki.xentax.com ) are not complete. This pak format is again different from that description, not much, but enough to not work with any program.

Do a search at the WIKI for PAC
http://wiki.xentax.com/index.php/Main_Page
You'll find some hits.
The one from Rumble Roses is the one to go for. Note however, that the format is still far from complete.

Commodore 64 D64 extractor
Plugin: D64 files ------------------- http://www.xentax.com/taoc/pics/mexcom_d64.JPG I had created a prog that would open .D64 files (Commodore 64 disk images). I turned it into a plugin for MultiEx Commander. Now those 8-bit geeks with long beards that, like me, come from the C64 era, can open and ...
