Actually, Watto, it seems to me there are filenames in there, and they are encrypted.

Please read other threads on this forum about this subject. Check the Game Request forums to start with. Also, the TRE archiver is old and not updated.

Re: Howto: Support the MultiEx Project! Tips inside!

1. Donating a little so we can maintain the website and keep up the work on the tool. We are also in the process of setting up a WIKI that will collect all the game archive formats we can master. Go to : http://multiex.xentax.com/donate/index.html is there a way to donate with a bank transfer becau...

And in august it was! Just. The 28th. :D Anyway, what is there for the future? Well, we released the first version of MexCom to include Rahly's Pluginmanager (RPM), that will enable you to just stick in plugins (not COM) that offer functions RPM expects so it can act as an interface to MexCom. You c...

I recently noticed a function in VB that would convert UNICODE strings. The problem is that this stuff is not possible in dll-calls.

Aha. That's fine with me. Converting the scripts sounded ambitious anyway. Someone other than me with time to spare could do it later, if they really want it  Well, the idea to be able to convert MultiEx scripts is still valid, when I rethink it, as you'd want cross-platform compatibility righ...

Yes, and another thing why it wouldn't be advisable to use the OpenMex method is because it was created to implement MultiEx scripts (OpenMex was to replace MultiEx Commander and start off with support for all formats). Seeing that MultiEx Commander IS the main project, MultiEx scripts are handled b...

Yes, but I reserve creating a new version exe when a little more has changed. The bugs were not major, just nusances. ;) The fix totals just a couple of lines of code. To me, that's not a minor update (which would grant it access to the sacred Online Update catacombs). :P I'm sure a lot of hardcore ...

Well that last bit is not a very big problem, if we write an interface in MexCom like "Add archive plugin..." that will copy the runtime script to the correct plugin directory and refresh MexCom / Pluginmanager subsequently.

Looks like the file is somewhat corrupted, not following the universal rule. I'll have to take a closer look.

Ok, here's a script that might work. I'm not sure, as I don't have the whole archive and some of it is a wild guess. I have reason to suspect the resource offsets are relative rather than absolute, yet perhaps this will be the right format. Try it out on the big PAK file. Also, please do send that 2...
