MexCom will also not show file extensions as there are none. The archive is much like Doom WAD files, with filenames only 8 bytes in size, without said extension. The textures I've seen are not encrypted, they are more like raw pixeldata. The filenames suggest they came from DDS files though, so it could be that the authors have stripped the DDS file headers from these.

Something similar could then be the case with the sound files you mention.

Ok, so this BUN file is not the same as a BIN file. It is totally different. So, not all BUN files are like BIN files. THis should be noted at the WIKI.
