I have tried MultiEx Commander on your MW4 files and they open! What reason did you have to believe these MW4 files were any different as those already supported by MultiEx Commander? See also http://wiki.xentax.com/index.php/Mech_Warrior_4_-_Mercinaries I was waiting for some examples, to see if th...

whats the front and back? A file is a very long string of bytes. For instance, a file could look like this, each letter represents one byte. SDFHFNGNBCVCXZXCVVNM12837485E The first byte, S, is at position 1 (or 0 for geeks). So: SDFHFNGNBCVCXZXCVVNM12837485E 123456789....and so on..... FRONT..........

I figured out the decompression scheme. Can someone send me some more compressed and matching decompressed files so I can test my decompressor more thouroughly to john_doe@techie.com? 10 files or so should be enough. I'll then release the C++ source code so it can be implemented in MultiEx or other...

Hello all, Mr.Mouse pointed me at this thread to take a look at the compresion used in those "RA" files. However, before beginning work on this particular topic, I have one question (just to be "up to date"): In the thread here a decompressor for those files is mentioned. Is the...

It's in the file! DPR, Delphi code! By the way, Deniz, Good Job! Can I interest you in taking a crack at that RA compression? See the TAW Total Air War thread. That looks like a similar way, but with a dictionary saved before the compressed text. Would be really cool if you could figure that one out...
