Yeah, it's rather slow, but consider the fact the 300 GB of space is required to host it, that would be rather expensive if you would also want it to be fast, especially for a "hobby" project. They prolly host it themselves. Anyway, imagine the cost of having the SOASC-machine recording no...

Hmm, well, just looking at it briefly, it would seem to be a texture of 128x128 in size, it's not compressed it seems, as 128x128 = 0x4000h, and it has a palette of 256 colours probably (256xRGBAlpha = 0x400). Together this is 0x4400h, the exact size of the texture data (starts at offset 0x14h). But...

Allright, I thought it might be appropriate to have a new category dedicated to Compression, Compressed (Game) Files, Encryption and the like.

If I ever want to implement new decompression routines in MultiEx Commander, I must know what the compression method is. In any event, your tips pointed me in the right direction and I attach a to...

Command and Conquer 3 - TGA files

Ok, so I downloaded the C&C3 demo and opened the *.BIG archives as "Lord of the Rings: BFME" BIG files in MultiEx Commander.

I noticed some TGA files in there, but they don't show in Photoshop and others.

I've attached two of them, perhaps someone can take a look.

Welcome!

If you have some code or tools, we'd also be ready to host them. In any event, code/tools and documents are highly welcome at the Game File wiki :

Please do add those if they are not in there! :D

For those interested, I recently played the demo of C&C3 and as a fan of the original, I must say it really rocks. I love the thought of commanding the armies of Kane once again. 8) :D
