Super Mario Galaxy

There has been so much praise already written and said about Super Mario Galaxy for the Wii, but I'd just like to point out that most of it is absolutely true.
It's a truly addictive, fresh and excellent 3D-platformer with a lot of new ideas and variety.

I don't know really. I've just created the script. ;) Perhaps you could attach a few of these files that you suspect are pictures in the Graphic Formats forum, so people can look at it.

Looks good indeed!

It's script reminds me somewhat of Haypo's Hachoir python library:

I must say, I have seriously enjoyed Episode One and Episode Two of Half Life 2, more or less recently. Both Episodes end with nice cliff-hangers that urge you to play the next Episode. Though the duration of the gameplay is not that long (compared to Half Life 2), it is well worth it. There's a rea...

This type of signature scan is something also found probably in Strobe's Jaeder Naub (included in MultiEx Commander as well) scanning code. You could try and PM him about it to discuss such issues.

The SID chip doesn't allow it. There are multiple "issues" of the same type (e.g. 6581 R1, R2 and R3, plus the 8580) that are emulated not 100% or not at all, so a tune composed for the 8580 will sound totally different on a 6581, especially when bass-filters are used.

Re: =D

But ofcourse, for getting the REAL sound the track should be replayed on a real c64 ;) It should be composed on the real c64 in the first place or at least use the SID chips like HardSID etc. If you don't you compose with the wrong sound, and listen to a different tune when you do play it on a c64....

There's no emulator that can capture the sound of the 6581 and 8580 chips. You need the real thing. :)
