No, but would be interested to know if someone has such a tool. I use a number of compressors whenever I want to compare (e.g. WinACE, 7z, RAR), but if there's one tool that does a whole lot it would be appreciated.

Format is OFFSET TYPE DESCRIPTION

All numbers are hexadecimal

Savegames have extension .sav
0006 - unicode string of 24 - Playername 
0088 - uint32 - Money
02b8 - bytearray of 3a in size - Rankings of all levels (career mode) e.g. 1 = 1st , 2 = 2nd, FE = level unlocked, FF = level locked

I recreated the issue on another machine. Simply installing the latest java (the machine had no java before) fixed the problem. So, it's weird that it did not work with you.

I used Hex Workshop to cut out the image data from the TEX file and then opened it as RAW data in Photoshop.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with doing an assumption first and then proving it was incorrect. That's how science works as well ! So, please do guess on. :D

Yes, you did a great job on that script then. I've been looking at those CBMP files and the executable. They *seem* to be simple RLE files, 8 bit, but missing the correct BMP header.
