That is bloody awesome. 7z compressed a 360 MB file to 42 MB, while standard zip managed to get it to 280 MB.
The new standard is 7z, people.

OK, I think I've located the CRC/Hash. The save games are stored the .sav file, of course. And the .sav start off with the magic word "RCMS". At 0x14 is the first checksum, of 4 bytes long, followed by the second etc. up to 5 savegames. The first savegame starts at 0x800, the second at 0xd...

If you can use a filecutter to have us take a look at pieces of those large files, that would help. Check http://www.xentax.com for the tools pack that includes the FileCutter.

Well, I could not see it. The pieces of 1024K are too small. Try this and attach the debug.txt.
