Re: smackdown vs raw 2010

On the other hand, these might simply be .TGA files, with an alpha channel in a 32-bit palette. I will change the program to save .TGA files as well. :)

Re: smackdown vs raw 2010

I can confirm that editing with Photoshop changes transparency from FF to 00 for each colour, as the BMP format is not really equipped for a alpha value as fourth variable in the palette table. Thae game uses BGRA, while BMP uses BGR and then a dummy variable, which PS sets to 0. What I can do is bu...

Re: smackdown vs raw 2010

Thanks for the reports, FatalArms! Actually, the slot 10 problem I warned about in my post above ;) The resolution bit interest me, especially the notion that you have to manually set it in PT Explorer, even though it may show correct in the preview window. I will look into that. Are you using 0.1.4...

May even help corruption problem in-game. - fixed bug with slot 10 and importing - added View Alpha to show the intensity of each colour in the image in-game - added tool-tip text when hovering over a button - fixed dialog...

Re: smackdown vs raw 2010

Wow, don't forget to post screenshots of your edits if you can. I'd love to see some. Here's my Brock ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1j8J29zSulw ). Notice his DeathClutch t-shirt and all of the sponsor logos on his trunks. Now if only I can con someone into making his tats in PhotoShop.... Nice m...

Re: smackdown vs raw 2010

Ah! Thanks for that bug report. I know what the problem is, I forgot about something.

[EDIT] I also think the thing with the colours changed after importation in PT Explorer needs some attention.

Anyone got screenshots of the new logo you imported into the game this way ? :D

Re: smackdown vs raw 2010

Excellent that multiple images also work, I would have thought so. :) Yet, I don't think that it is necessary to go into Paint Tool first and save the file without making any adjustments. If you're a first time user, you will have saved it at some point already. Unless there is a specific time frame...

Re: smackdown vs raw 2010

An excellent work-around that will enable you fans to use PTExplorer at least ! So here's the sequence of events that will work, please correct me if there's a mistake: 1. Transfer your .PT (Paint Tool) file to PC and extract images using PTExplorer as (*.bmp) 2. Open the bmps in PSP or Photoshop an...

Re: smackdown vs raw 2010

Thanks! Now I see that even saving without editing alters the file, including the palette! Again the same colour that changes. Until we find out where in the file the checksum is, we're lost. We need to know the structure of the file.

Oh and by the way, the picture was not back to its original state. The bitmap was, but not the palette. Did you change a colour? There seems to be one or two colours different.

Thanks. Say, in the game, do you have to save the pictures each time you want to edit them? What if you use file A, open the game's editor, don't do anything but save? Would that still alter the file, I wonder.

Re: smackdown vs raw 2010

I think so too. Do we know the checksum location already? JBP, can you re-edit the lsightly changed slot 0 in game back to how it was? We should have 3 pt files: Before, After slight edit, Restored Edit to original state.

Re: smackdown vs raw 2010

I'm soryy, but can you also do this with the in-game tool? That's what I meant.
So load up .pt file (A) that works for you. Edit slot 0 in-game / with the game's tool and then take out the updated .pt file (B). I want to compate both A and B.
