The error is self-explanatory. You are missing a standard windows file, or it is of a version not supported by the new WIndows 7. Try to see in Windows/system32 if it is there. If not, download it, and save it in the folder of UnTGZ. See if that works.

I remember reading somewhere the process of making Megatextures being very time consuming as it's a cooked file that's processed for the game to understand a huge amount of texture information. when i click on PTExplorer its opening and i see the svr logo but i cant press export or import image and i see at the botom just under (log) 24/01/2010-11:13:37 AM: Loading bitmap header ,but it seem that its never loading and it wont reconize any pics probably because of the header or i dont know...

Well, do you have the original image?This could mean anything, from RGB flip to differences in transpareny (I think the latter is the case).

That file is compressed. Do you have a decompressor?
