The format is incorrect.
Fields are out of order and the console tool itself doesn't even load the models right.

Thanks barubary, turns out you were right. All I have to do to get the float is divide the short by a specific number (in relation to the ScaleMode field).

Re: [Request] KH 358/2 (& re:Coded) Model Format Info Provid
Alright so a lil update. I'm still trying to flush out the file format, this is what I've understood so far. I don't know how it stores floats cause its using 2byte floats and there are so many ways they could be using. Once I figure this out I'll move onto making a application around it. More to co...

Re: Soul Calibur 4 Modding
In most cases the game formats arent understood enough to do that. Extracting files is one thing but replacing files is another story. You either need to find someone who is able to reverse file formats for you or just play wif what you got.

Re: A 3D model steal software
Only way to do this would be to hook into the graphics renderer and monitor each time it renders a polygon. This wouldn't allow you to get models in their default pose because the models will be animating. There are also other hard things to go around like FOV and special effects so this isn't reall...

Re: How extract .p3d file hulk ultimate?
Ya there isn't much information on the format. As a matter of fact thats all the information that we've got :\ All I know is that it's encrypted somehow and that it has a hash check so if you modify it your game wont work.

Re: help with transparent dds textures
With photoshop and dds files you have to make a alpha channel which says what is visible. To do so you gotta flatten you image into one layer then select the layer contents (ctrl + click on the layer's thumbnail in the list) and then you have to go to the channels panel and make a new channel (when ...

Re: How extract .p3d file hulk ultimate?
I did some research a while back on this format. It is heavily compressed but it is the same format that is used in prototype. I was able to find this: Link which is basically a rundown of how they make the p3d files and the pipeline for the game engine (Hulk Ultimate Destruction & Prototype sha...

Re: Soul Calibur 4 Modding
You don't code hexdecimal. Hex is just a way of representing data. It's the same as saying you dont know how to code words. Words are just a way of representing an idea just as Hex is a way of representing numbers. But I understand what you meant and as a real reply: AFAIK there isn't a way to add y...

Nope. Well there's definitely no source code. And as far as format descriptions or specifications, nothing official. Nothing complete either.

Re: Creating a 3D Model Discovery Tool
Thanks for your opinions :keke: Ya, I've kinda been re-re-re-re-creating the program for the past few weeks. Each time getting a little more abstract. I'm probably going to go with directX just for the sake of being able to say "its directx". Lol I am indifferent to either one so flipped a...

I'll see if I can whip anything up. But for the meantime you guys can get DJ Java Decompiler and decompile the jar file. You'll at least be able to see how the application reads the file. Doesn't mean its the right way of reading them, just means it "works".
