Re: the warriors ps2

Hey Justin, that sounds great! Can't wait to see some WIP screenshots :) Wait wait, it's .NIF file? But then you can use NIFTools ! What did you use to unpack the files or they were unpacked? I don't remember :/ No, the Warriors game files are not related to Gamebryo's .NIF file format. I forget why...

Re: the warriors ps2

I must have been blind... Since the game has been built with a modified version of the RenderWare engine, we can use the tool RW Analyze to explore most of the game files (except for some unknown sections). But first of all we have to get rid of the custom file headers, like this: http://img827.imag...

Re: the warriors ps2

I'm not sure about this, but I think the chunks at 0x00000060 and at 0x0001897F contain some rotation data. # file [5245] @ 0x00000060 # 01000000 - id # 3C070000 - chunk size # 0A00021C - unknown # 21000000 - number of entries 1.0000000000 0.0000000000 0.0000000000 0.0000000000 1.0000000000 0.000000...

Re: the warriors ps2

Hi Justin, great job so far! I think the files are structured like this: file # [5245] - 388,432 bytes @ 0x00000000 07000000 - id 40ED0500 - chunk size 00000000 - unknown 956768DE - unknown 02000000 - id 50940100 - chunk size 00000000 - unknown 85080839 - unknown 47000000 - id 30920100 - chunk size ...

Re: How to use this face data

Could you please post the coordinates of the vertices?
The faces data (1 2 3 6 -1 6 2 5 4 -1 4 2 7 8 -1) only makes sense to me if I reorder the vertices like this:

Re: Carmageddon 1 IOS (.WAD Extracton Help)

The program WADEdit from this site rr2000.toshiba-3.com/pc-files can unpack (and repack) the file DATA_IOS.WAD

Btw, there's an offset table at 0x11860-0x15CD3.

Re: TGA and JPG not opens on PS

Hi! The file Back_10_reg_4_textAtlantida.tga contains a jpg (0xB-0x3552) and an indexed bitmap (0x3553-0xB552), the color palette however is not included. Back_10_reg_4_TextError.tga also contains a jpg and a bitmap (0xB - 0x041B2, 0x41B3 - 0x241B2). Don't know what MARS_demo_end_window.jpg is, but ...

Re: The Warriors (ps2) .wad extracted

Hi there!

Did you manage to extract any of the resources yet?
The only thing I got so far are some collision meshes, I attached the one from 9227.DAT (689712 bytes).

Cheers!
