Re: 3d models about postings
If you really want to host your models somewhere, why not do it the easy way and not need to worry about involving websites with possible legalities. Just upload all the files to a host service like megaupload, fileserve or any of the other hundred host sites. then just make a post on here or any ot...

Re: dumb, qeustion about facebook and 3d models
You could try somewhere like GFX world its a website dedicated to all things GFX. but its all warez so you can post pirated 3d apps, stolen models, anything you like as long as its GFX related ( its where i post all my game model rips ). And in all honesty, there probably isnt much stopping you from...

Re: ModelViewerWX 0.3 and 3D ripper DX
Stick with it, the answer will come eventually. There HAS to be an option SOMEWHERE to allow you to adjust the amount of smoothing. Other wise everything created in MAX would either be always smooth or always flat shaded. This sort of thing couldnt happen if you didint have smoothing values. http://...

Re: ModelViewerWX 0.3 and 3D ripper DX
You will probably find its the same quality, just the amount of smoothing has been turned down ( it looks like its in FLAT SHADED mode). DXripper always seems to drop the smoothing angle to a really low number, you will need to increase that. If i remember correctly, DXripper sets it at around 35°, ...

Re: Counterstrike Source Models
The people going on about having to rescale and reposition the head to make it work right make it sound like that's gonna be a lot of work. its really not. rescaling, is what it says... your gonna adjust the scale of the object, that's fairly easy to do (in any 3D app, its one of the most common fun...

Re: Counterstrike Source Models
You might wanna reduce the amount of polygons in your head tho as face-gen heads have a lot more polygons than a CS model head i believe. Altho if you really wanted to go down that route and wanted to have a whole character model in the same kinda quality then you would be better looking into a prog...

Re: Aliens Vs predator 2010 PC character importer
Yeah i would really love to see this importer script done for max too. If anything could be done about that, that would be awsome.
Great work so far BTW i have been waiting for someone to attempt AVP.

Re: Ark files (RockBand 3)
Or they could just have a go at trying to decrypt the ark files that they asked for.. not trying to be funny, but if someone like chrrox says post a sample of the file you want cracked, thats exactly what im gonna do. ive seen him crack so many things, that if he said "yeah ill need you to actually ...

Re: Ark files (RockBand 3)
I used file cutter set to its largest size 1024k to get a start and end chunk of data. I did it on a couple of different ark files ( as someone else pointed out, there is 10 ark files in total ) So i chose Ark's 0,1 and 7. Hope these will be enough for someone to take a look at. if you need bigger f...

Re: Forza Motorsport Resource Extraction (.carbin)
I dont think the drivers are in the Cars folder but somewhere else. Its a good idea to explore the whole disc, maybe you'll find something interesting. And a nice render. So its not the tool wich caused the bugged renders by some people. If you mean the problem people had with normals causing nasty...

Re: Ark files (RockBand 3)
Im trying to open the ARK files in Rock Band 3. Normally they open up fine in Arktool 7. But for some reason they dont work now. There are 9 ark files and a header file. Just to explain why you cant extract ARK files using arktool 7... Every so often harmonix updated the song encryption, when there...

Re: F1 2010 .pssg 3D model
yeah i can confirm Cars, Interiors ( the steering wheel ) and Tracks are all importable in 3dsimed. Cars will have to have the textures reassigned manually, but the wheel and tracks will auto assign them. Im having a few problems with a couple of other files tho. In the " characters/models " folder ...

Re: F1 2010 .pssg 3D model
i too would love to get some of these car models without having to resort to DXripping them. So if anyone could take a look at the file CityPoke912 posted and possibly knock up a cheap and dirty extractor/converter for the model and textures that would be awesome. ( oh BTW citypoke i also answered y...

Re: Forza Motorsport Resource Extraction (.carbin)
I converted BMW M5 to GTA4. The mesh is converted, but textures interior are missing. Are they on a Forza 3 disk and in which folder? To answer this for you and anyone else that seems to struggle. NO they are not on disk 3 everything you need for the car is in the Zip files on disk 1. The same zip ...
