I don't have max... and there's too much unknown stuff (collision models, LOD related structures, lights, ...) the fileformat is pretty complicated (almost as bad as GTA4's). maybe oleg(zmodeler) takes a look at it some time... Maybe it has something to do with endianess or w/e. Since the 360 runs under a big-endian architecture then I assume that might be the culprit.

Nice... Other than some apparent UV issues, I guess it's about time that I convert these models to San Andreas. Does this also work for ped models, too?

For one thing, the reason why I asked for format documentation was because I would like to get the character models from it and port them to another game. I saw what appears to be character models in the OBJ file you converted, but the bodies seemed messed up.

Nice ripping, dude. Mind if you share us the model format and maxscript? Or did you just use the Mafia 1 importer?
