@qwerty I have seen that post in which you say that the game files of tdu2 can be decrypted with tdudec, correct? so only the savegames can't be decrypted yet? Yes, the .cpr files, both from the game folder and extracted from .big, can be decrypted using your tool. Thanks for that. :) But savegames...

It seems, that quickbms decides to show this message or not by itself. And there is no silent mode, as I know, but when I launch it from console window or from cmd file with parameters, the message is not displayed.

.fat format is slightly different from TDU2 .map, but files in .big are compressed in 4096 b chunks, decompressing in bms script is pretty hard (but not impossible). maybe someday... till then, script to extract compressed streams from fat+big: IDString "XMBF" Open FDDE big 1 Endian little...

new version of big+map script. now it gives extracted file extension based on its header, so may be inaccurate sometimes. it support .bnk, .wav, .xmb (2 types), .2db, .ige, which are 99% of all extracted files. all other are still .bin IDString "XMBF" Open FDDE big 1 Endian big GetDString ...

found, that some files, extracted from big+map are encrypted. their headers usually are 66 6F B2 7B 49 68 41 70 or 63 6F B5 51 81 22 42 12 they can be decrypted by aluigi's tdudec , that was written for tdu1. this files contains some game physics values and all localized strings, so getting this fil...

I've updated the script in previous post, now it should correctly unpack dirs with many files (in previous version maximum was 128 files, not even 256)

save script to bms file, open it with quickbms, select .map file when asked the input file to extract.
