Nice, uses a different approach than the granny reader above. What format do the files decompressed by this one have? Can they be read with 3DS? I think the biggest problem is to get data back to granny format because there are probably no functions for that in the dll. The good news is that they do...

I havent been able to find a name directory anywhere. Perhaps the filenames are compressed/encrypted? The level pack files dont contain information about their own filename so I would assume that the names for the level archives are stored somewhere. They don't have to be saved in the file, a hash ...

It depends on which scripting language is used. The one Mex Commander uses is indeed improper cause it is complicated and restricted. If you have a struct like in C
you can directly read out the structure of the file and every C programmer understands it.
