And what about some tools identifying Xtreme Protector (though that one section is named Themida)?

Hmm no magic identifier, no directory(at least no file names), gives us several possibilities: 1. there's another file containing the directory (normally with the same name but a different extension) 2. the file or at least the directory is encrypted and/or compressed 3. it uses a hash table instead...

You need to pass them via command line, you can't type them into the window. create a shortcut to the exe and edit the target (adding the correct options)

i don't know any good ps2 debugger out there, so it's hard to get the algorithm out of the executable. You may try to disassemble the exe, with some luck you find something.

Thanks a lot for the replies, but I'm afraid your program doesn't really work with me. When I open sx.exe, I see a flickering black box. (Like a MS-DOS/command-line-thing) I see the program for about a tenth of a second and then it disappears. That's not good, I guess? This is a command line tool, ...
