OK, here is what I got so far! I use the "0bear01_01.gmf" as base and wonder if "m_bear101.grf" exist? Otherwise the name for looking up the material use internal name for it!? Maybe there are some script/info file to control the conbination of all sort of files together. Format of the Mesh/Geometry...

I had a quick look on the animation file(GAF)! There is no bones structure(skeleton parent/child info.) inside!

Is there any skeleton file as well!?

Holy shit! I was wrong about the format before! I think the 1st and the 2nd section should be another mesh with bone/skin data! Does this game use Normal Map, Specular Map etc!? It seem to have more than 1 layer of texture coordinate as well! And also there should have some external skeleton files a...

PS: I am not good in maths. What formula do you use to calculate the interpolation? Thank you very much if you could share it for me. Sure. It's just a linear interpolation, though, nothing fancy: PosX := BoneWeight * X1 + (1 - BoneWeight) * X2 PosY := [...] How about the rotation? For example: you...

I'm not good in maths, if you want to mirror y-axis. You can multiply the transform by [1,0,0] [0,-1,0] [0,0,1] [0,0,0] etc. For the vertices not correct. Are those with same bone indices but weight less than 1? Try make the weight = 1 !? Or weight it with root bone(index 0) as well !? PS: I am not ...

Here is what I got from man1_walk.ani and Man1.cir

About the format, you are right. I missed out the root bone. :P

OK, I tried the demo. That April's voice is annoying  Back to the topic. I had a look on animation file(ani) and found these: struct Header { dword headerID //03 animation dword version //?? always 256 dword const1 //0xA9F5D5CE dword const2 //0xDEADBABE dword nMaxKeyTime //Length of the ani...

By looking at just 1 file. It is hard to tell what is missing from the format above! But something pop out from my mind that the vertices need to transform with the bones as well! Like "The Sims", "half-life" etc. The face came out fine because all the vertices bind to 1 bone, but that april mesh bi...

I'm not sure if I'm right or not because I didn't actually 'study' the format  Your verison make great sense. But the bones structure doesn't match the mesh? If this abx file is for different meshes then fine, if not then you have to figure out what wrong in mbx/abx then! Try more ab...

I did a quick test on that cart.mbx. And I'm sure that there are no animation or the man inside! They must be in separate files! and the whole MX1 format should be like this! char[3] header //MX1 float X 6 bbox //bounding box [x,y,z] [x,y,z] byte X 1 padbyte //no use?? dword nFaces //Face count stru...
