MGS was also created with softimage XSI. one you select you models to EXTRACT (with solidus) it'l OUTPUT the file, just OPEN the NEW file with SOLIDUS and it will CONVERT it to OBJ instantly. Well PS2 games OFTEN use .DAT files. tho SOME use different file types (Breath of fire ect...) But there are AS MANY VARIATIONS of .dat in PS2 games as there are CREATURES ion the universe.
